managing self

Managing Self

Managing self is being the boss of you, not the boss of a team or company. There are three self managing skills: initiative, organisation and accountability.

1. Initiative means to do something without always being told what to do. for example: I could always stack the chairs up at the end of the day without being asked and have done this for the last 7 weeks of school.

2. Organisation means to plan your time and things you have to do. For example: I set up a goal to get to level 13 on Epics at the beginning of school term1, then I made a plan to read a book on Epics for 25 minutes everyday for the last 7 weeks of school.

3. Accountability means you take the ownership of the responsibility that comes in your way. For example: I followed my plan to read a book on Epics for 25 minutes everyday, then I finally achieved my goal.

In my conclusion about myself:
For the last 7 weeks, I could manage myself to read books on Epics. But I couldn't manage myself on stacking the chairs everyday and sometimes forgot to do it.  In the future, I will try my best to complete my new plan on time and achieve my goal.
